Physical Therapy Modalities

To treat an injury effectively and prevent a recurrence of it, physical therapy modalities are often included in a patient's treatment plan. These may incorporate: Ultrasound, Electric Muscle Stimulation, Cervical Traction, Hydrocollator Therapy, Core muscle Rehab with Swiss Ball.

Diagnostic Testing

In addition to physical examination by Dr. Ritter, the following tests are used in our office to ensure an accurate diagnosis of the patient's condition.

• Nerve Conduction Velocity - Used to accurately diagnose certain conditions. It involves stimulating nerves in the arts and legs and measuring the velocity of information that travels to and from the brain to determine functionality.
  
  
• Diagnostic Ultrasound - In addition to therapeutic ultrasound, diagnostic
  ultrasound is used to diagnose torn ligaments and tendons, and to check patency of the carotid artery.

Massage Therapy

Our staff includes certified massage therapists (both female and male). Techniques include: Hot Stone - our most popular, Swedish, Acupressure, Reflexology.
